Become a great cook of healthy, whole foods by ldg1970

Inspiration:

I am wheat sensitive and need to be mostly gluten free.  I am also very health conscious so I try to use mostly whole foods, whole grains, lots of fruits and try to add vegetables, flax seeds, flax meal, protein powder to as many meals as possible.  I eat a low calorie, low sodium, low fat, low caffeine, low sugar, low processed food.  So this can be tricky at times.

I have been doing very well with this! I add so many vegetable to every dinner and have started putting a huge bag of frozen spinach, berries, coconut milk in my protein shakes.  I am also drinking more green tea with my protein muffins that I am now adding spinach to as well.  So glad that I am getting much more vegies into my diet.

I have been doing so well the last few months with adding vegetables and fruit to my diet.

I've made some new healthy recipes.  Not sure that I would serve them for a dinner party but I am slowly getting there!!

I made some super yummy protein balls!!  They taste like butterfinger!!  natural, organic peanut butter, flax seeds, flax meal, vanilla protein powder, semi sweet chocolate chips, ground almonds, gluten free oats, vanilla extract,

I've been making some great protein corn bread and muffins.  It is great to eat with my tea/coffee in the morning.  I don't feel deprived at all.  I prefer my pastries to those high sugar and high fat that are sold everywhere.

I also made a great taco soup, a huge pizza pie filled with vegies this week.

Last week I made an apple, blueberry, oatmeal crock pot breakfast.  Pretty tasty.

Oh and I also made my own protein bars!!

I've been able to make some new healthy pretty good dishes.  I made protein balls myself, crock pot oatmeal that was great, using quinoa more, quinoa pasta, spinach more, basil more.  I have a few more recipes I am going to make in the next week.
